 In addition to base salary, all roles attract 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

We are seeking Temporary Full Time Pharmacy Assistant/Pharmacy Technician (Grade 1–2) to join their friendly, supportive team at Campbelltown Hospital Pharmacy. You will be part of a hardworking and enthusiastic team where accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail are essential. In this role, you will support the optimal medication supply to ward areas and contribute to a wide range of pharmacy services, including dispensing, production, kit preparation and distribution.   • Assist registered pharmacists in providing pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients.  
  • Support medication supply to ward areas, including dispensing, production, kit preparation and distribution.

  • Use pharmacy computer systems and strong communication skills to ensure efficient workflow and collaboration.

Are You the Right Fit? 
We are seeking motivated Pharmacy Assistant/PharmacyTechnician with strong customer service skills, exceptional accuracy and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. You will be confident completing a wide range of technical and administrative pharmacy tasks while communicating effectively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
 
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receipting, stock rotation, managing back orders and processing returns.  
  • Ensure timely and accurate imprest medication supply to wards, including unpacking, delivering and processing requisitions.  
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for resuscitation kits, sepsis kits and other required kits.  
  • Monitor and maintain temperature charts for Pharmacy fridges and freezers.  
  • Assist with dispensary duties, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of medications in accordance with regulations and policies.  
 

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Must hold appropriate qualification as per the Health Employees' (State) Award for the following classifications:
    - Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1 - no formal qualifications required
    - Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 - holds a qualification in a relevant field up to the level of Certification III in Community Pharmacy
    - Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 - holds a qualification in a relevant field up to the level of Certification III in Hospital and Community Pharmacy
    - Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 - holds a qualification in Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy 
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated competency in dispensing, non-sterile production and distribution
  • Demonstrated competency in using pharmacy computer systems
  • Experience with current Department and Area Health Service strategies to achieve and maintain the elective surgery key performance targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise work flow
