As a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide advanced pharmaceutical care to patients in the Cardiothoracic Surgery, High Dependency, and Intensive Care Units. Your expertise will ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication management for critically ill patients.
Deliver early medication assessments and continuity of care
Ensure compliance with hospital and pharmacy policies
Supervise drug distribution and medication safety processes
Develop clinical guidelines and promote quality use of medicines
Provide therapeutic advice and mentor pharmacy staff and students

Essential Requirements
Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated extensive experience in clinical pharmacy practice, preferable in intensive care and/or surgical services.
Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice.
Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change.
Demonstrated skills in information technology: using computer applications including dispensing, database management, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
