What you'll be doing
As a Graduate Clinical Coder, you will participate in a structured training program designed to develop your skills in analysing health records and accurately assigning clinical codes using nationally recognised standards.
Analyse healthcare records and abstract clinical information for inpatient episodes
Assign ICD-10-AM and ACHI codes using Solventum Codefinder software
Apply Australian Coding Standards and ethical coding practices
Participate in education and training to build coding accuracy and productivity
Contribute to quality clinical data that supports Activity Based Funding and healthcare planning
How to Apply

Successful completion of a recognised clinical coding qualification (HIMAA) and/or a Health Information Management degree and/or OTEN Clinical Coding qualification.
Pre-requisite proficiency in Medical Terminology
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and articulately.
Demonstrated excellence in organisation and time management with the ability to manage competing priorities and daily targets.
Ability to analyse, abstract and interpret information.
Enthusiastic attitude and demonstrated ability to work both independently, within a team and be flexible in a changing work environment.
Demonstrated experience using computer applications such as Patient Administration System (PAS) and Microsoft Office applications.
