Director, Clinical Application Services (eHealth NSW)
This position is open to all permanent, temporary and casual NSW Health employees

About the role 
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer/ Executive Director, Enterprise Services, this role drives excellence in planning and leading the delivery of Clinical Solutions, Products and Technologies for eHealth and the broader NSW Health to ensure the achievement of objectives in relation to seamless and coordinated care for patients across various care settings.

As the Director, Clinical Application Services, you will be responsible for identifying strategic insights and providing direction while working with senior stakeholders to define and implement service initiatives to achieve strategic and operational business objectives.

You will lead and develop a highly motivated, diverse and delivery focused team of Development Managers, Solution Architects, Applications Functional Specialists, Applications Technical Specialists, and Testing Specialists to ensure continuous effective service delivery of robust Clinical
Products and Technologies. This will include leading the provision of 24/7 support as well as promoting clinical lead design and delivering solutions that are user-centred and fit for purpose.

This role will involve strong proactive collaboration with clinical stakeholders across eHealth NSW, the Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority, Ministry of Health, Local Health Districts, other public health agencies, NSW public sector agencies and relevant Commonwealth Government agencies.

Travel where required will be expected to influence understanding, commitment and delivery.


About you

  • You are an experienced leader with extensive experience in leading large-scale programs of work.
  • You will have extensive experience and proven skills in building strategic and influential relationships, customer perspectives and partnerships across a wide and complex group of clinical stakeholders. 
  • Your strong understanding of the digital health ICT landscape and extensive experience solving complex problems in clinical or digital shared services (e.g., Oracle, eMR, Architecture, Application Support, Infrastructure, Integration), with a proven ability to deliver effective solutions and risk mitigation strategies to NSW Health executives will be key to your success. 


Health Manager Level 6, Salary from $ 189,878 - $207,381 plus super and annual leave loading.
