What you'll be doing
The Senior Patient Liaison Officer is responsible for supervising the day to day activities of the patient liaison team for Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), including the successful delivery of inpatient support services.
The Senior Officer works to maintain a high degree of compliance with Federal and State Government regulations, as well as applicable Ministry of Health and Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) policies and procedures.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Certificate III in Health Administration and/or extensive experience in health administration roles combined with extensive knowledge of patient financial classifications within eMR and private health insurance requirements applying to public hospital patients (including a working knowledge of PBRC).
- Experience with supervising staff to meet organisational targets and a proven ability to manage and prioritise workloads of staff to meet competing demands as well as staff rostering and leave management.
- Demonstrated ability to train and develop a flexible team of patient liaison staff to meet current and future organisational demands and facilitate organisational-wide change as it relates to patient documentation and billing.
