About the Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled clinician to join a dedicated team of providing trauma informed, culturally inclusive and respectful care to children, young people adults and their family members who have been impacted by sexual violence.
Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme
This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Retention incentive under the NSW Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme, paid on a fortnightly basis.
The Attraction incentive for this position equates to:
- An Allowance of up to $20,000 in total for the first 12 months of your employment as successful candidate to this position.
- A Retention incentive of up to $10,000 in total may be offered thereafter annually (dependent on position continuing to meet scheme and policy criteria).
Employees are responsible to understand the criteria of accepting and retaining the incentives paid and are recommended to seek financial advice prior to accepting an Attraction or Retention payment as part of their employment.

- A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or
- Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of four-year sequence of accredited undergraduate study in the discipline of psychology (or equivalent completed overseas) or
- Bachelor degree in Health related field with an emphasis on human behaviour, psychosocial development and counselling.
- Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and build partnerships with local agencies.
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills (written and verbal) and demonstrated computer skills.
- Evidence of commitment to clinical supervision and professional learning.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to quality processes, and the application of evidenced based practice within counselling
- Demonstrated advanced skills and experience in providing therapeutic interventions to children, young people and adults affected by sexual assault.
- Demonstrated high level of understanding of; Child Protection, the Children and Young Peoples Care and Protection Act and issues related to children, young people and adults affected by sexual assault.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
