This is a unique opportunity to join a highly experienced and dynamic multidisciplinary team providing crisis and counselling services to children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual abuse/sexual violence.

Social Worker Level 3: $2,154.06 - $2,223.86

Psychologist: $1,482.56 - $2,169.97

Where you'll be working
St Leonard's Community Health Centre, Royal North Shore Hospital

What you'll be doing

Provide a high quality Sexual Assault service to consumers, carers and families to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.

 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics, or NSW Registration as a Psychologist.
  2. Extensive specialist knowledge of child protection, the dynamics and impacts of sexual assault and relevant legal processes.
  3. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities and service evaluation processes with other staff and demonstrated capacity to provide clinical supervision.
  4. Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage stressful situations; ability to work unsupervised and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or critical nature.
