The Role
This role will provide advanced administrative and clerical support to the Head of Department and will also provide day to day supervision of administrative staff of the Outpatient Service. This position will also coordinate administrative systems and procedures to enable the department to achieve their objectives to deliver a high quality frontline patient/customer service in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

- Demonstrated experience in providing a wide range of high level administrative services in a demanding environment
- Demonstrated ability to write accurate and concise reports, documents and correspondence with strong attention to detail
- High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently using initiative and judgement to solve problems
- Demonstrated commitment to work as part of a team in providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and standard office software packages and the ability to learn new systems as require
- Demonstrated experience in supervising and supporting an effective team with the ability to determine priorities for others, allocate tasks, coach and monitor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient billing practices
