Clinical Psychologist: $55.10 - $67.16
Nurse Educator (Grade 2): $66.51 - $67.83
Allied Health Professionals (Level 5): $65.90 - $67.50

What you'll be doing
The incumbent will have a portfolio of work relating to, but not limited to, the implementation of Violence Prevention and Management Training (VPMT).
The purpose of this position is to ensure VPMT training is implemented across NSLHD. This includes but is not limited to:
- Liaising with key stakeholders related to VPMT.
- Working collaboratively within a team of dedicated VPMT trainers.
- Implementing relevant training as required.
- Creating and sustaining a model of trainers/training.
- Working within a governance system for the training including ongoing competence.
- Ensuring training is provided to a critical mass from across the LHD.
- Supporting and peer coaching the trainer team.
- Liaising with HETI and other LHDs regarding currency of training.
- Informing reviews of training.
The incumbent will play an important role in engaging with stakeholders across NSLHD in order to support the ongoing delivery of skills for staff in VPMT principles and techniques.
The focus will be on supporting the development of a positive workplace culture and empowering staff by providing opportunities to enhance knowledge and skill development in VPMT.
The position requires:
- Highly developed capabilities; including effective communication, role modelling, relationship and team building, mentoring and coaching of trainers and those who support learners in a clinical context
- A demonstrates ability to develop, facilitate, implement, embed and evaluate effective programs, workshops and multidisciplinary groups towards agreed outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to build individual and organisational capabilitiesOngoing demonstration of the CORE Values
The incumbent must have the ability to meet the medical and physical requirements of the trainer in line with the Violence Prevention and Management Medical History Questionnaire Form supplied by HETI.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), as a Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional or eligibility for membership of AASW. Clinical Psychologists must hold full registration as a Psychologist and hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology. Registered Nurses must hold Post Graduate qualifications in a relevant clinical or education field. Allied Health professionals to have demonstrated extensive experience as a Level 2 or above. Holds current NSW drivers licence.
- Demonstrated current and extensive knowledge and experience of the Violence Prevention and Management Framework and practical training components, and an ability to meet the requirements of the Violence Prevention and Management Medical History Questionnaire (provided by HETI).
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills, including computer skills and the ability to research and write reports using appropriate technical computer applications.
- Recognised qualifications in Workplace Training; or completion of the NSLHD Teaching and Learning Series with demonstrated experience in competency assessment and feedback or equivalent.
