What you’ll be doing

 

The purpose of this role is to lead implementation and delivery of the NSW Cancer Plan strategy evaluation to assess achievement of plan goals and target outcomes and use this, in combination with stakeholder engagement, emerging trends and evidence, to develop the next NSW Cancer Plan in alignment with key strategic documents.

In addition to base salary:

Essential requirements

  • Graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline such as Public Health, or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience and expertise in strategic health planning and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering large and complex or strategic evaluations, drawing from multiple underpinning workstreams and using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of a strategic plan, ensuring alignment to relevant system-wide policies and plans.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills and experience working with a breadth of stakeholders and governance structures, including Senior Executives and community and consumer representatives.
  • Proven ability to manage a small team.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to convey complex and technical information in high-quality, accessible and engaging formats.

If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.

 

Pre-screening questions

 

  • Please outline your experience in implementing and delivering a large or complex strategic evaluation, using a curated combination of quantitative and qualitative data analysis and how you showed achievement against target outcomes.
  • Please outline your experience in developing a strategic plan, and how you managed the varied viewpoints and priorities of a breadth of stakeholders.
