Clinical Psychologist: $2,093.71 - $2,551.92 per week
Senior Psychologist: $2,284.57 - $2,475.55 per week

About the Opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity to join the Community Mental Health Emergency Team (CoMHET). CoMHET caters for people dealing acute mental health issues in community. The service provides telephone and face to face Mental Health triage, assessment and short-term intervention for residents in Bankstown.

You will be working with a team of dynamic professionals who are passionate about Mental Health. Working in COMHET will allow you work 7-day rotating roster, providing a better work life balance. At COMHET, we take pride in offering a work environment that supports you to grow professionally.

The role supervises staff working within the LHD according to organisational needs. As a senior it’s a wonderful opportunity to provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision, to ensure the delivery of evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multidisciplinary team.

This position is suited to clinicians who enjoy working within a supportive environment, are driven, confident and ambitious and who are seeking full time hours.

What You'll be Doing
As a senior clinician provide leadership, mentorship and supervision, to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team. Carry a clinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service.

  1. Relevant qualification/ registration in one of the disciplines, as noted in the essential criteria (please refer to the position description)
  2. Demonstrated experience providing advanced evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer’s families and natural supports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  4. Demonstrated skills in clinical leadership and clinical supervision within a multi-disciplinary treatment setting.
  5. Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience.
  6. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
  7. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
  8. Ability to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
  9. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
