- Post-graduate diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound (or equivalent) with current ASAR accreditation.
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform the full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures (Echocardiography, ECG's; Stress testing & Holter monitoring) in accordance with department requirements. Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot Cardiac equipment and haemodynamic/physiologic/programs.
- Ability to assist the Chief Cardiac Physiologist and deputise in the role as required.
- Ability and willingness to train and supervise trainee sonographers whilst demonstrating effective leadership skills to provide an equitable and supportive working environment.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning skills in the performance of complex sonographic procedures which reflect a high level of practical expertise.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with hospital personnel, private referrers, contracted agencies, clients and family members.
