About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and outgoing
An excellent opportunity for a health information manager or equivalent to gain experience and be responsible for the overall management and organisation of record control and processing functions of the Clinical Information Department, including supervision, training and development of staff in this area, rostering of staff and forms design and management.
The Record Control & Processing Manager will deliver an efficient and effective record control management system (paper and electronic/document imaging) by planning, reviewing, evaluating and implementing change to achieve organisational outcomes.
Where you'll be working
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.
The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.
Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.
Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.
How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or equivalent, and/or relevant previous skills and experience in supervision/management in a health facility setting with demonstrated ability to lead team performance to achieve service goals.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of medical record systems, including storage, culling and destruction of records.
- Previous supervisory experience with proven administrative and orginisational skills.
- Commitment to quality management and experience implementing quality management activities.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritise workload.
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated high level computer skills with knowledge of computerised Patient Administration Systems (eMR) and Microsoft Office.
