Psychologist: (Year 1 - 9)  $37.69 - $55.17 per hour
Clinical Psychologist (Year 1 - 5): $53.23 - 64.88 per hour

The position of Psychology/Clinical Psychologist service is part of the Allied Health Directorate in which provides psychological services for NBMLHD across a variety of clinical settings. 

Your role is responsible for the provision of patient focused Psychology services consistent with experience, skills, and qualifications, which includes but is not limited to psychological assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation. 

The Allied Health Short Term Staff Pool Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist contributes to the provision of flexible and consistent psychology services in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

What you will bring to the role 

  1. Completion of appropriate tertiary psychology qualifications, depending on classification of employment (psychologist or clinical psychologist). Clinical Psychologists / Clinical Neuropsychologists require completion of an accredited Masters or Doctoral degree.
  2. Full registration as a Psychologist and / or Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology endorsement (or working towards endorsement) with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams including multidisciplinary teams.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the provision of evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for psychological disorders.
  5. Demonstrated experience working with children / adolescents / adults.
  6. Demonstrated experience in providing individual or group intervention.
  7. Demonstrated engagement in ongoing professional development and commitment to clinical supervision.
  8. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including computer literacy.
