Where you'll be working
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment (RHR) on behalf of the hospital under the direction of the General Manager working closely with Health Infrastructure and the project management team.
The position requires the incumbent to have high level of skill in leadership and management and to be working as part of a multi-agency team with demonstrated capability in communication and networking to achieve the goals and objectives of the RHR. This includes working with all key stakeholders, including, but not limited to, Ryde Hospital Executive, Ryde Hospital managers, Ryde Hospital staff and clinicians, NSLHD Executive, NSLHD Networks, NSLHD staff, Health Infrastructure and all external parties involved in the RHR.
The position will provide strategic advice to progress the overall direction of the RHR and be accountable for the achievement of performance outcomes in the project timeline.
The incumbent will lead, together with the Manager of Clinical Redesign and Innovation and the Change Manager, the development and formulation of models of care, systems, processes and procedures and clinical practices as part of the commissioning of new and revised services that support and embed the service role and provision of care.
This role will facilitate the generation of ideas, opinions and discussions that influence the overall direction through to completion, working closely with Health Infrastructure, consultant project managers, architects and other for the achievement of key milestones.
The role will provide advice to the General Manager, Project Director and the project management team and will provide leadership to the project groups, stakeholders and end users involved in the project framework.
This position requires initiative, judgement, leadership and decision making skills to achieve the smooth transition of clinical services into new contemporary facilities.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Experience in a health related field and understanding of health service models of care for effective patient outcomes providing for a satisfactory patient experience.
- Previous experiences in leading major capital projects and demonstrate ability to work to time frames and delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrate capability to facilitate and liaise with multiple key stakeholders within coordinated timelines for delivery of outcomes.
- Proven high level negotiation and delegation skills including evidence of effective conflict resolution skills.
