Seeking a permanent part time candidate to join our team of drivers who pickup and deliver vital pathology specimens, stock, and other items to NSWHP laboratories, doctors, hospitals, and clinics across the district.

This exciting opportunity is available for the right candidate to join a dedicated team of Pathology Couriers in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District as part of NSW Health Pathology. We're looking for a confident and friendly driver who is passionate about providing Health Services to their local Illawarra Shoalhaven community.

What you'll be doing
Provide an efficient, consistent and reliable pathology sample transport service, which also transports collection equipment, results and other items as required to and from NSWHP laboratories, collection centres, clinics and hospitals.

  1. A level of fitness appropriate to courier duties: walk long distances and lift, carry and move items of up to 10 kgs over an eight hour shift
  2. Ability to be flexible and participate in a 24 hour / 7 day roster
  3. Current unencumbered Class C NSW drivers license with exemplary driving record. (Recent RTA infringement record print out required)
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  6. Demonstrated excellent time management skills with the ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities
  7. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a team and to promote teamwork as a basis for improvement.
  8. Australian citizenship or Australian visa which permits employment within Australia
