About the role: 

You will take on a rewarding role within a specialised service dedicated to providing tailored education and support to pregnant women and their chosen support persons. As part of our offerings, you will deliver a range of informative and empowering classes, including:

  • Birth and Parenting Education: Preparing expectant parents with the knowledge and confidence for childbirth and early parenting.
  • Next Birth After Caesarean: Supporting informed decision-making and preparation for subsequent births.
  • Young Parents Program: Addressing the unique needs of young families with guidance and education tailored to their experiences.

Working both independently and collaboratively with another experienced midwife, you will enjoy the autonomy to shape meaningful interactions while benefiting from a supportive team environment.     Requirements:
    Our successful candidate will possess the following:
    • Current Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. 
    • Post Graduate qualifications (or completion within 12 months) in Parent Education which may include post graduate qualification in education eg attended Parent Education Workshop or tertiary Certificate1V in Workplace Training and Assessment.

    Additional information:

    • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.
    • Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week commencing Monday 9th December 2024.
