About the role:

This role will see you deliver clinically prioritised occupational therapy services to patients in the acute wards at Maitland Hospital, including medical, surgical, intensive care, and paediatric units. This senior clinical role involves managing a busy caseload while providing support and guidance to fellow occupational therapists.

You will be supported by the Site Senior OT, as well as colleagues both at Maitland Hospital and in the wider Lower Hunter OT team. To aid your success in this role, full orientation and training will be provided.

About You:

We are looking for someone with extensive hospital-based experience handling a diverse range of clinical conditions, and a strong understanding of community support services for patient transition and complex care management. The ideal candidate will also have experience supervising and mentoring students and fellow occupational therapists.

Requirements:

  • Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA

  • To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
