About the Role: 

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Analyst to join the Multicultural and Refugee Health team, where you will play a key role in providing data-driven insights and analytics to inform strategic and operational planning. In this position, you will analyse complex healthcare data, identify patterns and trends, and deliver actionable insights to guide decision-making. Your work will directly contribute to improving healthcare outcomes for diverse populations within our District.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct data analysis and modelling to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform strategic and operational planning.
  • Prepare, optimize, and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations primarily using PowerBI and SQL.
  • Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with HNE IT, eHealth, and service delivery partners to ensure smooth operation of analytics systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ICT standards and support the integration of data analytics solutions across the organization.
  • Support the ongoing development of technical expertise, assist with troubleshooting, and contribute to the efficient deployment and monitoring of service-specific systems.

About You: 

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience developing and publishing PowerBI dashboards from start to finish, including requirements gathering, design, data modelling, testing, and ongoing maintenance. You will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Essential Criteria:

Tertiary qualifications in data analytics, data science, ICT, health analytics or equivalent and/or relevant experience.
