About SESLHD

SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.

The BreastScreen NSW South Eastern Sydney and Illawarra (SESI) Screening and Assessment Service is one of the nine Screening and Assessment Services (SASs) coordinated by BreastScreen NSW. BreastScreen SESI provides approximately 62,000 free screening mammograms annually for the early detection of breast cancer. BreastScreen SESI accepts females aged 40 years and older, and specifically targets asymptomatic women aged 50 to 74, living within the SESLHD and ISLHD catchment areas, on a biennial basis.

The role

The position is responsible for taking high quality mammograms at screening units and assessment centres within the South Eastern Sydney Local Health Network. This includes the management of screening services within the Funding and Performance Agreement Cancer Institute NSW, the policies and guidelines of the BreastScreen NSW program and NSW Health and the National Accreditation Standards.
 
To ensure compliance with the standards of BreastScreen Australia program as contained in the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards (NAS).
