We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide administrative support, manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle correspondence. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with medical office procedures are essential. About the role:
The Medical Secretary will provide essential clinical administrative support to the Staff Specialists in the Department of Geriatric Medicine, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical reports and efficient scheduling of clinic appointments. This position is ideal for someone with proven experience in delivering high-quality secretarial support within a clinical setting for senior medical officers.


About you:
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals, be capable of working independently, and contribute positively to the administrative team. Proficiency in medical typing and appointment booking is required. The role offers support from the Team Leader and other administration team members, who will provide guidance and assistance, along with ongoing training and professional development opportunities.


Where you’ll be working:
Our service provides an extensive range of home and centre-based community health services including both generalist and specialised clinical services (primarily for adults). This role is located at the CACS-GNS Executive Office, Wallsend Health Campus and provides support and to Rankin Park Centre.
