Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the southern half of NSW. What you'll be doing
Health Answers is a partnership which aims to improve regional health by supporting research and evidence development, promoting service and academic collaboration and promoting the swift translation of research into health care practice. This position works closely with health sector and university partners to support the Director in progressing the implementation of the Health ANSWERS strategic direction.


Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant area (Business administration, Management or other relevant qualification) or equivalent industry experience. Experience in the health sector is an advantage, but is not essential.
  2. Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating daily operations, administrative tasks, and support services, whilst ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  3. Capability to support strategic planning and implementation of initiatives through research, analysis, and providing comprehensive administrative support to senior management.
  4. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and coordinate workflows to balance administrative service needs with business priorities. This includes organising a large volume of documents / information whilst ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and security of sensitive information.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, prepare detailed reports, and manage correspondence.
  6. Experience in coordinating and managing projects, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and outcomes, and ensuring effective team collaboration.
  7. Ability to assist in budget preparation and monitoring, track financial expenditures, and ensure compliance with institutional financial policies and procedures.
  8. Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive 
PD2024_015.  All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
