About Us

NBMLHD’s Population Health Division is responsible for addressing primary and secondary disease prevention within the local community through Health Promotion, HIV and Related Programs Multicultural Health. Our work is delivered through individual service delivery, Population level health promotion programs and capacity building initiates to members of priority populations on priority issues.
An exciting opportunity is now available situated at our Lemongrove Campus for a Health Education Officer Graduate. This position on offer is Permanent Part time.
This role will engage with multiple services with competing priorities and demands to deliver health promotion programs and initiatives whilst ensuring health promotion messages are culturally appropriate to Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse people and communities spread over a large geographical area and focused on their
specific needs.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as health promotion, population health, or education and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience of health promotion theory and evidence-based application including needs analysis, project planning, implementation and evaluating health promotion initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to write high level and quality reports and other written communication for a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with community, government and non-government organisations to achieve outcomes in health promotion.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of evidence-based community education projects, including experience in developing and facilitating group work.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team across multiple projects with the ability to apply effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
