The Opportunity:
Working as a Health and Security Assistant, you will become a vital part of our multidisciplinary team supporting the delivery of safe, patient centred care to a diverse population. This role works under the guidance of clinical staff providing general assistance in wards, portering patients within the facility/campus, undertaking cleaning duties including infectious cleans withing the Emergency Department and security duties as required under the direction of clinical staff.
Our successful candidate will be working within The Emergency Department, Medical Wards and Surgical Wards at Cessnock District Hospital. You will work closely with the After-Hours Nurse Manager, Nurse Unit Manager, nursing staff and the greater multidisciplinary team. Ongoing education, training and support is provided throughout your career.

- Have a current security licence and first aid certificate
