About the role:


The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for patient care coordination and delivery.

The applicant will be supported by the Patient Flow Manager and receive orientation and training, including online modules and dedicated supernumerary time. They will also have access to ongoing education and professional development opportunities provided by HNELHD and NSW MoH.

Where you’ll be working:

Maitland is a vibrant region rich in heritage, culture, and natural beauty, offering a range of attractions from museums and local vineyards to pristine waterways and beaches. Within a 30–40-minute drive, you can explore the beach, vineyards, Lake Macquarie, and the local airport, while the welcoming community offers plenty of opportunities to connect. Located just two hours north of Sydney, Maitland is a perfect blend of rural charm and easy access to urban conveniences.

Maitland Hospital is an acute facility offering a full range of acute care inpatient and outpatient services inclusive of Emergency, Intensive Care, adult inpatient, perioperative, oncology, renal, women and children services, outpatient clinics, dental, imaging and pathology services.

The Transit Unit is a designated service that provides the availability of resources to support patients who are waiting for transport for interfacility transfer for subacute admission at a peripheral facility; discharge home; transfer to an inpatient bed for acute care.

Requirements: 

Our successful candidate will possess the following: 

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
  • Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
