Are you passionate about creating therapeutic and meaningful recreational activities for patients? As a Diversional Therapy Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the in-patient program by planning, preparing, and delivering engaging individual and group activities.

What you'll be doing
The Diversional Therapy Coordinator will provide therapeutic input to consumers in the Fairfield Withdrawal Unit through provision of recreational and leisure activities that are appropriate and designed to increase the capacity of consumers for meaningful use of leisure time both within the unit and post discharge.

- Qualifications in diversional therapy and extensive experience in diversional therapy activities
- Demonstrated interest or experience in working with mentally ill or Drug dependent people
- Knowledge of and experience with providing a range of leisure and recreational pursuits
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and independently
- Experience planning and implementing recreational and leisure programs
- Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of issues effecting people with mental health or drug dependency problems Current NSW driver’s license
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
