- Qualifications eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or qualifications eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; or a bachelor degree in counselling or a related field, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Demonstrated current clinical knowledge, skills and ability to effectively assess, provide counselling and formulate treatment plans utilising the principles of trauma-informed care.
- Understanding the principles of substance use disorders and treatment options available.
- Demonstrated ability to complete psychosocial assessments, counselling and plan intervention as required.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to work within a team approach, alongside other disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate interagency meetings to coordinate care planning for complex patients
- Demonstrated competence in verbal, written and computer skills, and ability to manage significant workload.
- Current NSW driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purpose.
