About the Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Midwife Specialist to join our Lactation Support team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive breastfeeding support and education to new mothers and their families.
The successful candidate will have advanced clinical skills in lactation management, a passion for maternal and newborn care, and the ability to lead best practices in breastfeeding support across the hospital. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care, contributing to positive health outcomes for both mothers and infants.
We are looking for a midwife with demonstrated experience in providing specialized lactation care, who is a compassionate advocate for breastfeeding. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive, dynamic environment where your expertise will be valued and expanded.

What You'll be Doing
The Clinical Midwifery Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD
