The Role

  • The Clinical Director Primary Care position is responsible for leading the development and management of effective and integrated clinical assessment and treatment systems as they pertain to Primary Care, within the correctional environment.
  • The position has key accountability as the professional lead for all Medical Officers in Primary Care.
  • The key principles involved in the development of these systems are that they are streamlined; sustainable; evidence based and that they reflect community-based standards.
  • The Clinical Director Primary Care is responsible to the General Manager Primary Care for all clinical and operational matters
