What You'll be Doing
The Executive Leadership Team within SWSLHD endorsed the establishment of an Operational Sustainability team to identify, deliver and sustain considerable savings targets. Ministry of Health is advocating to all LHDs the use of the Central Cost Savings model that has successfully turned around a significant over budget position.
This position will perform duties in supporting the Operational Sustainability Program Manager in undertaking high quality statistical analyses of data sets and high-level interpretation of analysis to evaluate the overall efficiency performance across the district and identify gaps in business processes and associated data collected, to inform future business decisions. Using statistical methods to highlight areas of concern outside normal variation is a key component of this role, as well as performing complex analysis of activity data to identify areas for clinical operations efficiency improvements, where patient over servicing or diagnostic testing over ordering maybe identified.
This includes developing and maintaining strong effective working relationships and communications with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate review, analysis and reporting clinical activity, diagnostics information, and benchmarking against best practice.
Further, working closely with Digital Health to ensure training and upskilling of staff in data extraction and reporting is enabling clinicians and managers to readily identify opportunities for change.
