What you'll be doing
The Maternity Data Manager will provide timely and accurate maternity data and statistical reports. The position is part time and autonomous requiring a highly self-motivated individual with personal initiative. The individual would be expected to exhibit high ethical standards in regard to patient information. The Clinical Data Manager will maintain a reliable and comprehensive maternity database which records clinical information across the pregnancy journey of antenatal, birth and postpartum for mother and baby. This position encompasses many aspects of database management including but not limited to data administration, auditing, analysis, reporting and future enhancements.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent, relevant industry experience. Working knowledge of eMaternity database and medical terminology related to the specialty of Midwifery and Obstetrics.
- Demonstrated high degree of computer literacy and data analysis skills. Competency in use of Microsoft Office products, spread sheets, databases, statistical software and health databases eg eMaternity, eMR/Powerchart. Competency in database management. Competency in manipulating data in relational databases and flat file spread sheets. Fine attention to detail, data integrity and validity of data
- Demonstrated ability to provide education to all appropriate staff and act as a resource and mentor to others in relation to the electronic maternity data base.
