An exciting new permanent fulltime opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant working at Nepean Hospital. This role offers the chance for you to deliver rehabilitation care directly in patients' homes and through innovative virtual platforms.

The successful incumbent will work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing essential care that helps patients achieve their health and recovery goals. You will contribute to the planning, planning, implementation, evaluation & reporting of the RITH Physiotherapy service, NBMLHD.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance and/or relevant extensive patient care experience in a hospital setting.
  2. Demonstrated patient manual handling skills, knowledge and experience
  3. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and operate with minimal supervision
  6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities as delegated.
  7. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to deliver rehabilitation services via Virtual Care
  8. Current driver's licence (including P1 or above) and willingness to use for work purposes.
