Established within the Workforce Planning and Talent Development Branch, the new Strategic Medical Operations Unit will centrally manage the medical locum workforce strategy including developing the internal capability to source contingent medical workforce. About the role:

 

With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we’re enhancing health and wellness while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.

 

Develop and support the implementation of best practice policies, programs, projects, and activities for the Ministry of Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies and provide policy advice to support the achievement of NSW Health’s objectives in relation to the health workforce, including issues related to governance and specifications for Human Capital Management systems.

 

Health Manager level 3, starting salary from $127,150 - $144,444, plus Superannuation, with a 38-hour work week.

 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems within the NSW Health Service including requirement gathering, solution design, testing and evaluation.
  • Manage and undertake policy and program development, review and evaluation of projects, particularly for HCM systems, for the NSW Health Service, the Ministry of Health, and related government agencies to address current and emerging issues in relation to workforce attraction, recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Provide advice and support to senior executives, and staff across the NSW Health Service and the Ministry of Health to consistently interpret and apply policies and practices in relation to best practice HCM systems, to ensure fit for purpose systems to support employees and people leaders.
  • Liaise, communicate, and consult with key staff in public health organisations and stakeholder representatives to secure their engagement and ensure effective interface on policy and program development, planning and implementation.

 

 

About you:

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

 

  1. Experience implementing human capital management systems in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment.
  2. Demonstrated skills and experience in working on projects that involve the translation of policy requirements into technological solutions.
