Registry Coordinator

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is passionate about enabling change using digital tools and data to enhance clinical practice and patient experience.
  • Leads the development of Clinical Quality Registry (CQR) management policies, governance, procedures, and standards to ensure effective systems and processes.
  • Provides support, education and training to clinicians and administrators of clinical services and staff.
  • Ensures compliance with Ministry of Health privacy, information security, and governance policies for data entry, usage, reporting, and sharing.

What you will be doing  

The Registry coordinator will provide expertise in data and clinical quality registries, collaborating with ACI networks, the Ministry of Health, Local Health Districts (LHDs), Specialty Health Networks (SHNs), hospitals, and clinicians. Their primary responsibilities include co-designing requirements of registries, developing and maintaining data registries, user guides, and data dictionaries, and supporting data governance, security, and compliance.
 
Additionally, the registry coordinator will provide detailed education and training to LHDs/SHNs, clinicians and other end users to ensure the successful implementation, collection and sustained use of registries. They will also offer expertise to support innovations and research in healthcare.
 
Located at the ACI offices in St Leonards, the Registry coordinator will occasionally travel across NSW, including rural and metropolitan areas, for site visits, with occasional overnight stays.

 

Employment details 

 

Employment Type: Full Time Exempt (up to June 2028) 
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3 
Remuneration: $127,150.00 – $144,444.00 per annum excluding Superannuation  
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria / Questions  

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience working with registries.
  2. Demonstrated proficient skills to gather functional and non-functional requirements supporting registry or database design and implementation.
  3. Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders (including clinicians), such as presenting complex concepts for end-to-end registry development and implementation and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. High level written and verbal communication skills including extensive experience writing requirements and presenting complex analysis and reports to different stakeholders (including clinicians) in a format that will assist in informing decisions regarding service quality, evaluation and new approaches to health service delivery.
