·        Lead requirements gathering and provide expert advice to support the migration of clinical registries across NSW.

·        Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend solutions using best-practice analysis methods.

·        Support data solution delivery by conducting impact assessments, testing, training, and helping teams transition to new systems.

What you will be doing

Purpose of the Position: The Clinical Data Project Officer plays a key role in delivering strategic initiatives, including the scoping and definition of concepts to support eMR build and the advancement of NSW Health's registry capabilities. These initiatives aim to drive system-wide transformation and enhance the experience of patients, carers, staff, and consumers across NSW Hospitals and Health Agencies.

This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the collection of requirements and overseeing implementation processes to support registries and other e-enabled data collection systems across NSW Health.

Working collaboratively with ACI Clinical Networks, consumers, Local Health Districts, Specialty Health Networks, Integrated Care stakeholders, LBVC stakeholders, eHealth NSW, and IT vendors, the Clinical Data Project Officer fosters innovation in care delivery. The role actively engages internal and external stakeholders to identify and pursue opportunities that support the reform and enhancement of value-based healthcare and patient experience programs.

Employment details

Employment Type: Full Time Exempt (up to August 2026)
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3
Remuneration: $127,150 - $144,444 per annum excluding Superannuation
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria / Questions 

1.      Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and demonstrated senior business analyst experience.

2.      Sound proficiency in agile methodology and clinical requirements gathering.

3.      Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis, reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve program/business focused solutions.

4.      Experience in analysing, working, testing and maintaining service management systems as well as delivering project outcomes on time and to the expected levels of quality, including demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks within a project.
