Campbelltown Maternity services is an innovative and growing maternity service that offers many differing models of care for midwives; including MGP, TEAM, MaPs and publicly funded homebirth, as well as standard ward / unit work to belong to. The service births approximately 3800 women each year and offers level 5 maternity and level 4 neonatal care. The service has positions available across all areas of the maternity service after a recent enhancement from Birthrate plus. This includes Birth Unit, ANC, Antenatal ward and post-natal ward. Rotations as well as permanent positions are all available in each of the clinical areas and can be discussed and negotiated at interview. The service and midwives are supported by CMC’s, CME’s and AH Clinical Midwifery Specialists (CMS2) , as well as lactation CMS2 staff.
Are You the Right Fit?
The midwife is a responsible and accountable professional who works in partnership with women to give the necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the midwife's own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant.This position may entail rotating through various clinical areas such as, Birthing Unit, Post/Antenatal Ward, Special Care Nursery and Antenatal Clinic.

1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
2. Please describe how you critically assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team that is evidenced based and culturally appropriate to achieve quality patient/consumer outcomes.
3. Please describe how you effectively communicate in a person centred manner with patients/consumers, families, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to ensure the provision of safe, compassionate, quality care.
4. Please describe how you would take responsibility and accountability for clinical practice, critical reflection, professional development and performance review.
5. Please describe how you would act in accordance with the NSW Health Code of Conduct and model the behavior's outlined in the Transforming Your Experience and Leadership Strategies.
