What you'll be doing
The post(s) are particularly suitable for candidates who have significant clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology ultrasound and also for Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMG) who are seeking to refine their clinical and research skills in order to be appointed to a substantive consultant or equivalent academic position. They provide an ideal opportunity to pursue special interest training in obstetric ultrasound and high risk obstetrics in a unit that has a strong international reputation for research and translational development in maternal and fetal medicine. Accreditation for training can be sought by successful candidates.
Successful candidate(s) may be required to take part in the out of hours obstetrics and gynaecology on call rota. The department is committed to supporting individuals that wish to complete a postgraduate research degree.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Obtained FRANZCOG or in their final years of training or equivalent specialist training program or 3 years post graduate training in radiology standards equivalent to RANZCOG training program.
- Three years practice within an Obstetric and Gynaecological training program or completed training in Obstetric and Gynaecology imaging.
- Fluency in relevant models and techniques of antenatal screening with an ability to contribute to the development of new ones.
- Competence in basic obstetric ultrasound (12 and 20 week scans, growth scans, cervical scans).
- A demonstrated ability for basic/clinical research.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
- Ability to take responsibility and initiative.
