About the Opportunity
As a Full Stack Developer of our Application Development team at eHealth NSW, you will help make a real difference in healthcare by being a part of a vital technical arm of NSW Health, responsible for delivering high-impact software solutions that support the organisation’s strategic and operational goals.
This is the perfect opportunity for an individual passionate about driving impactful technology initiatives and influencing key architectural decisions. This role drives across the entire technology stack using open-source frameworks and cloud infrastructure to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in strategic technology developments through roadmaps and transition plans.
- Design and deliver complex roadmap visions and plans to organisational outcomes.
- Lead discussions across senior engineers to prioritise design trade-offs and assessing risks.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams through development ceremonies, to refine, breakdown, size, document and implement complex user stories or tasks using appropriate methodologies, guiding principles and tools.
- Execute activities related to complex migration, design and build extension, implementation and transformation activities, that align to technology solutions, services and components roadmaps.
- Drive the development and implementation of coding and testing standards.
This role is internally referred to as Principal Engineer - ERP.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience leading architectural design and technical strategy across multiple systems or product lines.
- Extensive experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, establishing robust development standards, and promoting a culture of technical excellence.
- Extensive hands-on experience in full-stack development using React.js, Node.js and Express.js with deep expertise in building scalable, component-driven front-end applications using Ant Design (AntD) and robust state management, while ensuring security and accessibility compliance.
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development, with solid experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development and performance tuning.
- Strong front-end capabilities with Ant Design and advanced state management techniques are essential.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Docker, container orchestration, and automated deployments, along with advanced Git usage for version control and code lifecycle management.
- Domain knowledge in Procurement & Inventory is preferred.
