About the Team

TIPS is a specialist multidisciplinary pain service providing both acute inpatient and chronic outpatient care. Based at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, the service operates Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and supports patients across the region.

You'll work alongside an experienced team including Pain Medicine Specialists, Clinical Nurse Consultants, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Physiotherapist, Senior Psychologist, Dietitian and Administration staff who are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

 

About the Role

As the Administration Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the service by providing high-quality administrative and executive support to the multidisciplinary team.

Reporting operationally to the CNC3/Operations Manager and administratively to the Manager, Outpatient Administration, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional administrative and secretarial support to patients, families/carers and clinicians.
  • Delivering executive assistance to the Operations Manager and Pain Medicine Specialists.
  • Managing complex outpatient waiting lists and coordinating patient appointments.
  • Supporting group programs across Tamworth, Armidale and Narrabri.
  • Maintaining patient outcome data and ensuring accurate information management.
  • Coordinating billing processes and preparing monthly financial and activity reports.
  • Managing correspondence, clinician Outlook calendars and Workplace Health and Safety coordination.
  • Contributing to efficient service delivery and timely patient access to care.

Essential Criteria 

  • Medical Terminology qualifications and/or demonstrated experience.
