Position Title: Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner - PFT - Wellington Correctional Centre

This is a dedicated Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander position.  Applicants must be able to prove Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being an Aboriginal person and being accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act. JH&FMHN deems it appropriate to seek confirmation of Aboriginal status from applicants applying for Aboriginal identified positions or targeted positions either during the interview process or prior to commencement of the position.

The Role

The Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner provides flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal clients and the community, to achieve better health outcomes and better access to health services for Aboriginal people.

The Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner will provide a range of direct clinical services as defined by the agreed Scope of Practice and primary healthcare functions for the community in which they work. Including liaison with relevant community groups, health professionals, Corrective Services NSW and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations

 

Salary & Benefits

Your salary of $67,063 – $87,301 p/a (+ super and leave loading) is just the beginning. You’ll also have access to:
