Achieve Something Great
Join our Midwifery Support Program (MSP) and play a vital role in extending compassionate, high-quality care beyond the hospital setting. In this rewarding community-based position, you will provide postnatal care to women and their newborns in their homes for up to 14 days following birth, supporting families during one of life’s most significant transitions.

Working autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary framework, you will conduct comprehensive maternal and newborn assessments, provide breastfeeding and infant feeding support, deliver education tailored to individual family needs, and identify and escalate clinical concerns where required. Your practice will promote safe recovery, early parenting confidence, and seamless continuity between hospital and community services.

This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful short-term therapeutic relationships, empower families in their own environments, and contribute to positive early parenting outcomes. With a strong focus on woman-centred, culturally responsive care, you will combine clinical expertise with empathy, flexibility and strong organisational skills to manage a dynamic daily schedule across the community.

As part of the MSP team, you will be supported by your colleagues and the Midwifery Unit Manager of models of care at Liverpool Hospital.
