  1. Demonstrated experience in staff management with an ability to lead team performance to achieve service goals and excellent customer service.
  2. Excellent ability to manage staff, resources and procedures in a high intensity service including training staff in the use of procedures and associated computer programs.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with Medical Officers, managers, staff and public.
  4. Excellent computer skills, demonstrated familiarity with Windows applications and an ability to rapidly learn specialised applications for waitlist management and reporting.
  5. Experience with current Department and Area Health Service strategies to achieve and maintain the elective surgery key performance targets.
  6. Experience in coordinating and implementing quality improvement and change management initiatives.
  7. Sound knowledge of NSW Health waitlist management, auditing and patient admission procedures. With previous experience in the scheduling of surgical and diagnostic procedures and computerised patient administration systems
  8. Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
