Achieve Something Great
Join our dedicated Outpatient Services team at South Western Sydney Local Health District and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality healthcare to our community. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and motivated Administration Officer who thrives in a busy, patient focused environment. You’ll be supporting a range of specialist medical, women’s health, and allied health clinics, providing essential front line services that help ensure patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate care.
In this role, you’ll become an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the smooth operation of clinics through reception duties, appointment scheduling, medical records processing, and customer service. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same, and you take pride in delivering exceptional service even under pressure, this is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in patient experience and care outcomes across the district.
Are You the Right Fit?
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
- Clear communication skills and active listening when supporting patients and staff.
- Ability to work well in a busy team while also managing tasks independently.
- Confident using computer systems, including booking appointments and data entry.
- Calm, professional, and customer‑focused when managing competing demands.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Can you describe a time when you were responsible for managing administrative tasks that required strong computer literacy, such as data entry, scheduling appointments, or using hospital/health systems and explain how you ensured accuracy, efficiency, and maintained patient confidentiality?
Please provide an example of when you had to communicate effectively with patients, staff, or clinicians while managing competing priorities in a busy environment. How did you ensure high quality customer service and balance teamwork with working independently?
