Operating Theatres Northern Beaches Hospital

What you'll be doing
The Nurse Unit Manager Operating Theatres is responsible for operational management of the operating theatre complex inclusive of strategic leadership, recruitment, rostering, infection prevention and control, service KPIs, budget and performance management. 
The Nurse Unit Manager Operating Theatres will provide leadership to all staff within the operating theatres at Northern Beaches Hospital. 
The role will work collaboratively with the Nurse Manager of Operating Theatres, and NUMs to ensure effective, sustainable and efficient operating theatre services. 
The Nurse Unit Manager Operating Theatres will: 

 

  •  Support nursing recruitment and ensure rosters are prepared for seamless service provision
  • Ensure staff are trained to perform their roles to the highest standard
  • Ensure infection control standards are maintained
  • Manage relationships to enable operational efficiency


People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  1. Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  2. Recent relevant nursing management experience with operating theatres and supported by a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
