The Clinical Nurse Manager Surgery and Anaesthetics is responsible for strategic and operational management of the division of surgery and anaesthetics including operating theatre, intensive care and surgery wards.
Provide and lead complex strategic leadership, recruitment, rostering, infection prevention and control, service KPIs, budget and performance management.
The role will work collaboratively with the Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) Executive, Nursing and Midwifery Executive, Nurse Managers, Nurse Unit Managers and all relevant staff to ensure effective, sustainable and efficient services.
This position is a key lead in NBH Surgery and Anaesthetics services to coordinate and direct governance, nursing standards of practice, models of care and to direct the design, development and implementation of projects in the areas of surgery, anaesthetics, intensive care, operating theatres, and workforce planning.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) Registered Nurse Division.
Demonstrated relevant senior nursing management experience in an acute setting supported by a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
