What you'll be doing

The Team Leader Pharmacist - Pharmacy Operations is both a hands on clinical role and a leadership position.

The purpose of the role is to lead and coordinate a team delivering comprehensive pharmacy services across The Prince of Wales Hospital and affiliated services for the defined practice area of pharmacy operations and medicines related automation/technology. This includes all services provided by the inpatient dispensary, outpatient dispensary and pharmacy store; medication distribution services including imprest management, maintenance and optimisation of automated dispensing cabinets and medicines related automation/technology. The role will work collaboratively at both the site/service level and across the district to maintain leadership and efficient performance of the provision of pharmacy services.  

The position will have joint responsibility with other Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions, to maintain leadership, management and continuity of service provision of the pharmacy service across all operational hours.

SESLHD Pharmacy Services is an extended hours service across the seven-day week. The role requires the ability to participate in a seven-day week roster that includes flexible hours, on call, afterhours, weekends and public holidays.

The role will be primarily based at Prince of Wales Hospital. The role may be required to work at different locations and departments within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
