Sterilisation Technician - Grade 3 - Port Macquarie Base Hospital

You are an experienced Sterilisation Technician with proven capability in a supervisory and team leadership role within a CSSD environment. You lead by example, providing clear direction, support and guidance to staff while fostering a collaborative and professional workplace culture. Your ability to balance effective leadership with strong interpersonal skills enables you to work harmoniously within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a confident and respected leadership presence.

You possess well-developed computer skills and a strong working knowledge of systems and software relevant to sterilisation services, including Microsoft Excel, word processing applications, electronic instrument tracking systems and other CSSD-related programs. You are confident in utilising technology to maintain accurate records, monitor workflow, generate reports and support efficient departmental operations.

With demonstrated expertise in specialised sterilisation practices, you consistently perform complex tasks to a high standard of competence while ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and quality standards. Holding a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services, you are committed to ongoing professional development and continuously seek opportunities to expand your knowledge, skills and industry expertise.

You are recognised for your ability to work effectively and efficiently in demanding environments, successfully managing competing priorities and meeting challenging deadlines without compromising quality or patient safety.
