Sterilisation Technician - Grade 2 - Port Macquarie Base Hospital

You are a qualified Sterilisation Technician who has successfully completed a Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology and brings recent experience working within a hospital-based Central Sterile Services Department. Your practical knowledge of sterilisation processes, infection control principles and quality standards enables you to contribute effectively to the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical instruments and equipment.

You have demonstrated the ability to perform complex and specialised tasks with accuracy and confidence under general supervision, consistently maintaining high standards of quality and patient safety. Your sound computer skills and ability to quickly learn and utilise CSSD-related software and systems support effective documentation, instrument tracking and workflow management within a busy healthcare environment.

Your exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision ensure that tasks are completed thoroughly and in accordance with established policies and procedures. You are comfortable undertaking repetitive duties while maintaining focus, accuracy and productivity throughout each shift.

You are flexible and dependable, with the ability to participate in a seven-day rotating roster and adapt to changing operational requirements. Your willingness to share professional knowledge and expertise contributes positively to team performance, while your collaborative approach supports a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Working within fast-paced and evolving healthcare environments, you demonstrate resilience, adaptability and a proactive attitude towards change. You respond effectively to competing priorities and shifting demands, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality sterilisation services that support patient care and organisational objectives.
