About the role

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our Adult Team at Orange Health Service. In this one day a fortnight position, as the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will lead the newly established Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Clinic. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals with complex needs, including those with head and neck cancer, post-surgical changes, and associated swallowing and communication difficulties.

The position involves close collaboration with medical, nursing, and allied health team members to support coordinated care planning, optimise functional outcomes, and enhance patient experience. The Senior Speech Pathologist will contribute advanced clinical expertise, participate in case discussions, and support evidence-based practice within the clinic.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, development of management plans, patient and family education, and timely documentation. The role may also involve contributing to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and building strong referral pathways within the multidisciplinary team.
