Join a growing, multi‑site Radiation Oncology Service and take on a senior clinical leadership role that combines operational management, technological innovation and high‑quality patient care across Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational management of a radiation planning or treatment unit within the Liverpool or Macarthur CTCs, delivering leadership, supervision and development to Radiation Therapists.
- Deputise for the Section Head and support Radiation Therapy Managers to meet clinical, operational and service priorities.
- Lead the development and implementation of new technologies and techniques to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based radiotherapy care.
- Work across both Liverpool and Campbelltown sites, managing both planning and treatment areas while supporting a comprehensive service that includes multiple Elekta Linacs, Tomotherapy, Brachytherapy, CT and dedicated MRI.
- Contribute to service expansion, research and development initiatives, with an eligibility list created for future temporary Radiation Therapist (Level 4, Grade 1) opportunities.
Are You the Right Fit?
You are an experienced Radiation Therapist with strong technical capability, leadership expertise and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care within a public healthcare environment.
- Successful completion of a degree in Medical Radiation Technology or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT), with eligibility at a minimum of Level 2 Year 4 Radiation Therapist, current Authority to Practise with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holding or eligibility to hold an NSW EPA Radiation Licence.
- Proven technical expertise in radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery, with demonstrated experience implementing new services, techniques and technologies.
- Well-developed leadership and staff management skills, supported by completion of, or intention to undertake, higher study in radiation therapy or a related field with an appropriate leadership or managerial component.
- Demonstrated capacity to supervise, educate, train and objectively assess Radiation Therapists and student RTs, providing guidance to address knowledge and skill deficiencies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage day‑to‑day unit operations, make informed leadership decisions independently and collaboratively, represent LMCTC positively to stakeholders, and actively participate in research and development activities.
Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a harmonious workplace, as well as demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, both spoken and written including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively to all levels of staff within the multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated capacity to supervise, educate, train and objectively assess radiation therapists and student RTs in current and new practices and technologies and provide advice to remedy deficiencies in knowledge and skills.
